Edinburgh Solar has awarded its 2026 round of community funding: a further £20,000 to support local organisations that benefit the community. That brings our total to more than £100,000 awarded since the fund launched. This year, recipients include Edinburgh Tool Library (a lending library for tools – saving residents money and reducing waste) and Eric Liddell Community Centre who are replacing their lighting with LEDs. The co-op is also helping two organisations to install its second-hand solar panels.

You can see the full list here.

As always it is a pleasure for the co-op to be able to support vital local organisations. Our new share offer, due to go live in 2026, will help fund more solar in the city and generate more support for the people of Edinburgh. If you haven’t already, register to hear when it goes live.
